Meet Francesca

Alexis and Dustin are one of my 2021 couples! I’ve known Alexis’s family since I was little and was thrilled when they contacted me about photographing their wedding. These two will tie the knot next fall at McLoone’s Boathouse in West Orange, a beautiful restaurant located within the South Mountain Recreation Complex. We are all hoping COVID-19 is a thing of the past at that time (fingers crossed!). Alexis has been meticulously planning the wedding of her dreams these past few months since Dustin proposed, with her supportive mom by her side throughout the process.

Dustin and Alexis say that their relationship began and is built on a foundation of friendship. Together, they love to watch movies and spend time outdoors as much as possible. Their ideal date night is a nice dinner with a bottle of wine, which is fitting as Alexis and Dustin met when they worked together in a restaurant. They eventually moved to bartender roles and spent time getting to know each other behind the bar.

The Proposal

This summer, Alexis joined Dustin and his family on a camping trip in Maine, and Dustin surprised her with a romantic proposal during their trip! One night, while they were sitting around the fire with Dustin’s brothers and sister, suddenly, Dustin got out of his seat, dropped down on one knee, and proposed right there and then! It was so joyful and spontaneous, and everyone was over the moon!

One of the reasons Alexis adores Dustin is his ability to make her laugh. Their bond goes beyond a romantic relationship; they are best friends, excited about expanding their families to create a wonderful life together.

Alexis and Dustin, thank you for choosing me to capture your engagement and upcoming wedding. I’m eagerly looking forward to celebrating your love story at McLoone’s Boathouse next fall, and I’m sure it will be a beautiful and joyful occasion for everyone involved.
