Lover of nostalgia, natural light, coastal towns, and romantic love stories

Meet francesca

Hi there!

So, keep reading to learn about me and discover my absolute favorite parts of a wedding day!

I’m Francesca, the photographer behind Francesca Marie Photography. Based in northern New Jersey, I photograph weddings throughout the East Coast with a deep appreciation for the places and traditions that make each celebration meaningful. I’m especially drawn to weddings that feel thoughtful and personal, whether that’s a historic church ceremony, an elegant estate, or a coastal venue overlooking the water.

My approach combines gentle direction with candid observation. I’ll guide you when needed so you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera, then step back to capture the moments that unfold naturally throughout the day.

To me, wedding photography is about more than beautiful portraits. It’s about documenting the heart of the celebration. The anticipation before the ceremony. The joy of being surrounded by the people you love most. The fleeting moments that will become part of your family’s story for years to come.

perfect fit if...

My love for photography started with an old wedding album. My grandparents passed away when I was young, but their wedding photos are still a part of my life. I’ve flipped through those pages more times than I can count. Even though I never knew them as newlyweds, those images help me feel connected to their story. That feeling of connection, of memory preserved through a photograph, has stayed with me ever since.

That’s the heart behind my work. I believe wedding photos should do more than just show what everything looked like. They should help you remember how it all felt. I’m drawn to the quiet in-between moments just as much as the big celebrations, because those are often the ones that bring your day back to life years from now.

This journey began on a beach in Long Beach Island at sunrise, when I photographed my best friends’ engagement session. They were high school sweethearts and had been together for ten years. Watching their love unfold and being trusted to capture it through my lens changed everything. That morning showed me how photography could be more than a hobby. It could be a way to honor relationships, tell stories, and create something lasting.

Over the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of documenting so many meaningful celebrations. Every couple has a unique story, and I’m always honored to help preserve it. My goal is to create images that feel personal, true to you, and filled with a sense of nostalgia, just like the ones that first inspired me.
