Spring Cape May Wedding at Congress Hall | Meghan + Brian

Congress Hall | Cape May, NJ
Rain couldn’t dampen the joy and beauty of Meghan and Brian’s wedding day at the historic Congress Hall in Cape May, NJ. Known for its vibrant Victorian charm and rich history, Congress Hall provided a stunning backdrop for their early May wedding celebration. Scroll through the gallery below to soak up the timeless elegance of this iconic seaside venue, shot for Wild Magnolia Photography.
Getting Ready in the Bridal Suite
Our day began in the bridal suite, where Meghan got ready with the help of her mom. They shared a sweet moment as they looked at each other for the first time. Her daughter was about to become a wife!
An Emotional First Look
One of the most touching moments of the day was Meghan and Brian’s first look. Since the weather began to shift to rain, Megan and Brian had their first look under the protective cover of the Congress Hall patio. When Brian turned to see his bride for the first time, tears welled up in his eyes.
Despite the rain, we were determined to make the most of Congress Hall’s picturesque grounds. We took advantage of covered areas for beautiful outdoor portraits and the front lobby to capture the hotel’s Victorian charm.
Outdoor Ceremony at Congress Hall
The ceremony took place outdoors under the covered patio due to the rain. But that didn’t stop Meghan, Brian, and their loved ones from celebrating! The rain enhanced their ceremony’s romantic ambiance as Meghan and Brian exchanged vows and rings. Their ceremony’s sweet, intimate moments perfectly encapsulated their love story.
After the ceremony, guests braved the chilly weather for a cozy outdoor cocktail hour warmed by heat lamps.
Victorian Ballroom Reception and Dancing
The ballroom’s pink and black walls, checkered floor, and vintage lighting captured the venue’s historic charm. The reception began with a grand entrance by Meghan and Brian, followed by parent dances, heartfelt toasts from the bride’s parents, and a warm thank-you speech from the couple. Afterward, we whisked Meghan and Brian away for a few sunset portraits in front of the venue, capturing the beauty of the hotel’s exterior.
As the night continued, Meghan and Brian returned to the dance floor, surrounded by their loved ones. Then, we said our goodbyes as they continued to dance the night away, ending their special day on a high note.
Congratulations, Meghan and Brian! Your wedding at Congress Hall was a beautiful celebration of love and joy – rain and all!
