I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in northern New Jersey and serving the east coast and destinations. I provide my couples with a boutique experience that celebrates their one-of-a-kind love story. With a blend of artistry, passion, and an eye for detail, I strive to capture the essence of your special day in a way that is authentic, heartfelt, and timeless.
I am thrilled to share these iconic photos from Liza and Pete’s spring wedding at Tavern on the Green! A historic restaurant in the heart of Central Park, Tavern on the Green was built as a sheepfold in the 1880s to house the 700 Southdown sheep that grazed in Central Park’s Sheep Meadow. I had the honor of photographing this classic New York City wedding day with my friend, Lizzie Burger.
Liza and Pete’s wedding day was as vibrant and unique as the heartbeat of the city itself.
I spent the morning with Pete and his groomsmen at the JW Marriott Essex House outside Central Park. The groomsmen all looked dapper in their black suits and sunglasses (try to spot the groomsman who forgot his glasses and had to borrow mine for the photo-op!)
Meanwhile, Liza and her girls got ready at her parent’s West Village apartment. After everyone was ready, Pete and I hailed a taxi and headed there for their first look! Surrounded by stunning views of the Empire State Building on one side and the Freedom Tower on the other, Liza and Pete had an emotional, private first-look moment followed by some sweet portraits on Liza’s parent’s rooftop.
Traveling in true NYC style, Liza and Pete chose a classic yellow taxi cab as their mode of transportation, weaving through the city streets en route to their bridal party photos by the Bethesda fountain in Central Park. A spontaneous road closure for a local parade just outside their venue was a little unexpected twist on our plans but certainly created a memory that perfectly encapsulated the city’s energy.
The heart of their celebration unfolded at Tavern on the Green, a historic restaurant in the middle of Central Park. The atmosphere exuded garden party vibes as Liza and Pete exchanged vows, had their first dance, and listened to heartfelt toasts by their loved ones amidst the lush greenery, white florals, elegant chandeliers, and the warm glow of candles.
As day turned to night, the celebration continued with a fabulous live band that was a massive hit throughout the evening. Laughter and joy echoed through the venue as Liza and Pete danced the night away, surrounded by friends, family, and the timeless charm of Tavern on the Green.
Liza and Pete’s wedding day truly showed New York City’s undeniable magic. Cheers to the newlyweds!
