Tucked away in the heart of central New Jersey’s preserved farmland, The Ashford Estate is a hidden gem that feels like stepping into a storybook. Dana and Reid celebrated their wedding day here on a warm summer afternoon, surrounded by sprawling gardens, towering trees, and timeless architecture. I had the pleasure of capturing this day alongside Jennifer Larsen, and from start to finish, it was a celebration filled with joy, energy, and heartfelt moments.
A Timeless Storybook Venue
The Ashford Estate is one of those places that immediately transports you. The long tree-lined driveway, the peaceful reflecting pond, and the European-inspired stone archways set the tone for an elegant yet inviting wedding day. The estate’s manicured gardens provided a dreamy setting for Dana and Reid’s portraits, while the grand ballroom—with its high ceilings, sparkling chandeliers, and a full wall of windows—created the perfect atmosphere for a lively evening of celebration.
Getting Ready & The Sweetest First Moments
The morning started in The Ashford Estate’s private bridal suite, where Dana and her bridesmaids laughed their way through getting ready. One of my favorite moments was watching her friends help with the intricate buttons on her dress—a true team effort that turned into a moment of pure joy. Dana’s look was classic and effortlessly elegant, with pearl jewelry and a soft white bouquet accented with greenery.
Reid, on the other hand, brought nonstop energy to the day. From the moment he stepped into his suit, he was ready to celebrate, making sure every person around him felt the excitement. His enthusiasm was contagious, and it set the tone for an unforgettable day.
An Outdoor Garden Ceremony
Their ceremony took place outside in the estate’s stunning garden, framed by a floral-adorned gazebo and accompanied by the soft sounds of a string quartet. The setting alone was breathtaking, but what made it even more special was the way Dana and Reid locked eyes as she walked down the aisle. There were happy tears, quiet laughter, and an overwhelming feeling of love that filled the space. Dana and Reid danced their way into the reception with all the energy of the night, and from that moment on, the dance floor was never empty.
