I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in northern New Jersey and serving the east coast and destinations. I provide my couples with a boutique experience that celebrates their one-of-a-kind love story. With a blend of artistry, passion, and an eye for detail, I strive to capture the essence of your special day in a way that is authentic, heartfelt, and timeless.
Some wedding days just have a natural flow, where everything falls into place seamlessly, and Vicki and Nick’s summer wedding celebration at Park Loft in Oceanport, NJ, was precisely that. From the quiet excitement of the morning to their grand entrance into the reception, every moment felt effortless and filled with joy. It was such a joy to photograph their day as a second photographer for Lizzie Burger Photography.
Park Loft is a wedding venue that balances history and modern design. Nestled within the historic Fort Monmouth, the building was originally constructed in 1941 as a dance hall. In 2022, it was carefully restored and reimagined into an upscale event space while preserving its original charm. The venue boasts 20,000 square feet of thoughtfully designed indoor space spread across two floors, offering couples endless possibilities for their wedding day vision.
Vicki started her day getting ready in a nearby hotel suite, surrounded by her bridesmaids, laughter, and the final touches of wedding-day anticipation. The energy shifted to excitement as we arrived at Park Loft, where she and Nick shared a heartfelt first look beneath a trellis draped in lush greenery. It was a quiet moment just for the two of them before the pace of the day picked up. Afterward, we captured their bridal party and family portraits in the park, where the trees and open space provided a gorgeous, natural backdrop.
The venue’s outdoor areas are just as stunning as the interiors. Park Loft sits on 4.5 acres of land, with a beautifully landscaped 1.5-acre park, referred to as Harmony Park, that serves as a perfect setting for portraits. The Belvedere, a covered indoor-outdoor ceremony space, allows couples to exchange vows in an open-air environment with the convenience of covered seating for up to 200 guests. Vicki and Nick’s ceremony here was such a sweet moment in their day, with their closest family and friends witnessing their vows in a space that felt both intimate and grand.
Cocktail hour occurred on Park Loft’s wrap-around mezzanine, where guests enjoyed an elevated view of the dance hall below. The Garden Atrium, with its brick columns and wrought iron details, created a warm and inviting indoor-outdoor atmosphere for mingling.
As the reception began, Vicki and Nick made their grand entrance down the elegant floating steel and glass staircase, stepping into the dance hall for their first dance. With 25-foot original beamed ceilings and an open floor plan, the space felt both expansive and welcoming—perfect for a night filled with celebration.
Park Loft is a venue that offers the best of both worlds: a historical setting with a contemporary feel. Its thoughtfully designed spaces allow couples to craft a wedding day that feels entirely their own, and Vicki and Nick’s celebration was a beautiful reflection of just that.
