I had an absolutely fantastic time during the Montclair State University senior session with Ashley and Emily! These young women are not only stunning but also incredibly sweet and outgoing. Our time together was filled with laughter and joy as we explored the campus. These moments captured the essence of Ashley and Emily’s senior year at Montclair: joy, excitement, friendship, and a deep love of dance.
Meet the Graduates
Ashley is from Rhode Island, and Emily is from the Jersey Shore area. They both pursued dance studies at Montclair, a local institution renowned for its outstanding fine arts and education programs. Coincidentally, I received my master’s degree in education at Montclair in 2019!
The campus is conveniently located just a brief 10-minute drive from my apartment and boasts a striking Spanish Mission revival architectural style. The buildings are reminiscent of those found in California or the Southwest, featuring white plaster walls, clay roof tiles, arched entries, and windows, as well as simple yet beautiful wood and tile decorative elements.
The campus has improved so much since I went there. There was a beautiful walkway right by the front entrance adorned with twinkling lights – a perfect spot for their portraits. We also made our way to the building where their dance studios are, the on-campus theatre, and of course, the giant red hawk statue that greets visitors as they enter campus! It was a beautiful, sunny spring evening just a couple of weeks before their graduation.
After graduation behind them, Emily is eagerly embarking on her dance teaching career, while Ashley is looking forward to commencing her journey in the professional dance world. Their passion and talent as dancers truly inspire me, being a dancer myself, I’m in awe of their dedication to their art.
Ashley and Emily, congratulations again on your graduation! I’m deeply honored that you chose me to capture this incredibly special time in your lives. I wish you both immense success and fulfillment in your dance careers!
