Joyful Summer Wedding at The Columns | Alessandra + Jim

The Columns & St. Catharine Church | Avon-by-the-Sea & Spring Lake, NJ

Jim and Alessandra’s beachy Spring Lake wedding on the Jersey Shore was a beautiful day filled with so much love! I had the opportunity to shoot for the talented Jennifer Larsen on this picture-perfect day.

Before the ceremony, Jim and Alessandra had an emotional and heartfelt first look at their reception venue, The Columns in Avon-by-the-Sea. It was so sweet to witness their love for each other on full display during that tearful moment – a true testament to how special a first look can be should you choose to have one!

Catholic Wedding Ceremony at St. Catharine Church

Then, Jim and Alessandra tied the knot at St. Catherine Church, a beautiful Roman Catholic church in Spring Lake. Alessandra’s bridesmaids wore emerald and berry dresses in varying styles complemented by the colorful floral bouquets, and the groomsmen wore navy suits. We walked to the nearby Divine Park after the ceremony for photos with their huge bridal party – they were such a fun group!

Wedding Reception at The Columns

We traveled back to The Columns on the Avon beachfront for the evening. Along the boardwalk, we took bridal party photos on the newly renovated Avon Pavilion, followed by Jim and Alessandra’s couple portraits on the beach. We had the most incredible pink sunset as our backdrop along the ocean.  It made for some of my favorite portraits ever!

Then, the party started, and boy, was it a party! Alessandra and Jim’s family and friends knew how to dance and have a good time. The music by the Joe Baracata Band was the perfect playlist for a classic Jersey Shore wedding that kept everyone on their feet dancing all night long.
