I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in northern New Jersey and serving the east coast and destinations. I provide my couples with a boutique experience that celebrates their one-of-a-kind love story. With a blend of artistry, passion, and an eye for detail, I strive to capture the essence of your special day in a way that is authentic, heartfelt, and timeless.
There’s something extra special about engagement sessions that take place right in the heart of a couple’s everyday life. For Samantha and Jeffrey, that’s Downtown Somerville, where they share their first home together. We planned their Downtown Somerville engagement session for late April, just as the trees were blooming and the weather was perfect for a walk through town. From the courthouse lawn to the lively small business district, to their favorite restaurant and pub, every corner felt like home, and it was such a joy to capture!
Samantha and Jeffrey first met at a high school graduation party, but they officially started talking a few months later. By October 2016, they were dating, and they’ve been together ever since. They survived their long-distance era during college and graduate school, before finally moving back home to Hillsborough. Just over eight years later, their connection is stronger than ever. Samantha shared, “We always knew we were going to get married and grow old together, but it is crazy to think that we actually made it and are here. One step closer to forever. It is a dream come true.”
You might remember Samantha and Jeffrey’s Hoboken Waterfront proposal from last December. It was one of the most meticulously planned surprise proposals I’ve ever photographed! Jeffrey created a complete 3-page timeline and walking map to ensure every moment went smoothly. Samantha described it best: “Our waterfront, Hoboken proposal was perfection with the best photographer ever!!!” The day ended with a surprise champagne toast surrounded by their families. It was thoughtful, joyful, and so perfectly them.
We met for their Downtown Somerville engagement session on a sunny April afternoon, and the season added a fresh, joyful energy to every frame. Samantha and Jeffrey’s love is full of ease and laughter. “We just love laughing and each other’s company,” they told me. Whether they’re baking pizza, playing on the Switch, or walking home from a date night downtown, their joy shows up in all the little, everyday moments.
That same feeling came through in their session—laid-back, fun, and full of the comfort that only comes from being best friends. “We have this weird connection with each other where we’ll say the same thing at the same time randomly,” they shared. It made photographing them feel effortless. They’re the kind of couple who clearly enjoy just being together, and it shows in every photo.
Next March, Samantha and Jeffrey will say “I do” at The Farmhouse, and I already know it will be an incredible wedding day. Samantha is most excited for their church ceremony, held at the church she grew up attending, surrounded by their loved ones. And Jeffrey? He can’t wait to see his beautiful bride walk down the aisle.
After nearly a decade together, these two are more than ready to step into marriage. Their love is steady, joyful, and full of heart, and I’m so honored to be the one documenting their story.
