Our Lady of Mercy Chapel | Whippany, NJ

Danielle and Michael are married! This sweet couple kicked off their wedding weekend with an intimate Catholic wedding ceremony at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel. The next day, they continued the celebration with their reception at The Park Savoy!

How He Proposed

Michael proposed to Danielle last February. He worked with the staff at Sunday Motor Co. in Madison (where they had their first date!) to pull off a memorable evening. He rented out the coffee shop that night for all their closest family and friends to celebrate. Danielle told me she was completely surprised!

Catholic Wedding Ceremony at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel

Danielle and Michael opted to have their Catholic wedding ceremony the day before their reception at The Park Savoy. It was important to them and their families that they marry in the church. The priest gave a beautiful homily before Danielle and Michael exchanged vows and rings. After sharing their first kiss as husband and wife, they greeted their guests outside the church as everyone headed to the rehearsal dinner.

Northern New Jersey got hit with a massive heatwave this weekend, so we photographed family portraits inside the chapel to keep everyone nice and cool! Then, we braved the heat and humidity to capture some portraits of Danielle and Michael outside with the chapel as our backdrop. It was the cutest little chapel right along a major roadway!

Once we wrapped up the portraits, the couple headed off to their rehearsal dinner to continue the festivities!
