I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in northern New Jersey and serving the east coast and destinations. I provide my couples with a boutique experience that celebrates their one-of-a-kind love story. With a blend of artistry, passion, and an eye for detail, I strive to capture the essence of your special day in a way that is authentic, heartfelt, and timeless.
Jamie and Sam’s beautiful wedding at Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury is the perfect source for your winter wedding inspiration! I had the pleasure of photographing their day with my friend Lizzie Burger.
Our day began the day in the bridal suite with Jamie and her bridesmaids. Jamie had the cutest prop – a newlywed newspaper she designed on Etsy – which we incorporated into her getting-ready photos. After capturing some shots of the girls in their color-coordinated pajamas, Jamie proceeded to step into her dress, while I focused on capturing Sam’s details. As a thoughtful wedding present, Jamie surprised Sam with custom-engraved cufflinks – a touching gesture!
Once Jamie and Sam were ready, it was time for their first look! But before Sam laid eyes on his bride, Jamie shared a heartfelt first look with her dad, bringing them both to tears. Fortunately, Jamie had a custom-embroidered handkerchief ready for her dad, adding to the emotional moment.
Then came the much-anticipated big reveal! Tears continued to flow as Jamie and Sam embraced, seeing each other for the first time that day. We ventured outside the venue to capture some portraits, taking advantage of the clean winter light that provided an excellent backdrop for stunning photos. It was a bit chilly out, so Jamie added a fur shawl for some photos – a perfect accessory for any winter bride!
The Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury offered incredible backdrops for wedding photos both indoors and outdoors. With a winter wedding, it’s crucial to consider the indoor spaces at your venue, ensuring there are beautiful settings for photos regardless of the unpredictable weather. Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury proved to be an exceptional venue in that regard.
Despite the cold, Jamie and Sam’s wedding party joined us outside after portraits to capture a few quick group shots, with her bridesmaids donning the most beautiful dresses in metallic shades of silver.
Before we knew it, it was time for Jamie and Sam’s wedding ceremony! Their stunning Jewish wedding ceremony featured a white floral chuppah, a mirrored aisle lined with white rose petals, and warm candles scattered throughout the space. These two were finally ready to get married!
Their ceremony was a tear-filled and sentimental exchange. Jamie and Sam have been dating since high school, so everyone in the room truly felt like one big family.
Following the ceremony, there was a lovely cocktail hour giving us the opportunity to capture some of the lively reception details. Beautiful white flowers adorned their sweetheart table, centerpieces, and even the cake! There were candles everywhere, creating a romantic atmosphere throughout the space.
Jamie added an extra element of fun with a dress change mid-reception! Her fringe dress sparkled and shone as she and Sam made a second grand entrance into the ballroom. The live band kept the celebration alive all night – truly a top-tier wedding band! Lizzie and I couldn’t resist dancing along with the rest of her guests as we snapped tons of fun reception photos! Be sure to scroll through to the end to see them all.
